September 2004 saw the launch of the Come and Play Music Making Resource Pack, a tool designed for playworkers to help them lead music activities with the children in their clubs.

The pack contains three booklets – beginner, intermediate and advanced – along with help notes, and ideas for sessions. An Audio CD and CD-ROM are included to support the pack. It is designed to give playworkers, even those who have no previous experience or knowledge of music, a step by step guide to delivering music workshops, helping them to facilitate creative music sessions.

The pack has been supported by a series of training days for playworkers around the country, delivered by professional musicians.
