Come and Play placed its support behind the far reaching music manifesto in July 2004. Launched at Abbey Road studios in London by both the Department for Education and Skills and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, in collaboration with music organisations and arts practitioners, the manifesto recognises the importance of providing music opportunities for children and young people.

The manifesto reflects many of the aims of both 4Children and Come and Play, including close working between music partners and creating training opportunities for adults so that music provision is as effective as possible.
